Ever saw a movie that felt like a warm brownie with chocolate sauce – that’s the “Guilt Trip” for you. It’s an endearing watch with beautiful messages and emotions sprinkled throughout without boring you. The performances – well one shouldnt talk about it when you have “Seth Rogen” and “Barbara Streissand”. As someone who spent the last 6 years in Retail, the movie was a good nostalgic trip through Kmart, Costco, Orchard Supply Hardware, and Home Shopping Network.
Moms always think that no one could say “No” to my child and we never want to disappoint her confidence. Even if sometimes we do, trust that she will always come back with her unique ideas and never say die attitude. I saw a lot of my mom in this movie and also saw me as a mother, some years down the line, wanting to spend some time pampering my son.
If you are looking for a movie for that lazy Sunday afternoon, with your Mom, Dad, or your child – Guilt Trip wont disappoint. It can very well be the dessert after the heavy Lunch. Even if you dont watch the movie, please do plan to take that next Road trip with your Mom or Dad or Son or Daughter 🙂 – That would be the best week of your life
